ALBA FAMILY FUTURE MISSIONARY |
We will periodically update our blog to keep our friends and family aware of this wonderful adventure we have embarked upon. We hope you will follow us on this journey!
We live in beautiful Atlanta Georgia and have left dear family and wonderful friends behind while we serve in Santa Rosa. We know however, that these next three years will be the time of our lives and that we will meet and love many missionaries, their families, friends and neighbors who will influence us for good eternally.
We have 6 incredible children, and 11 amazing grandchildren who keep us laughing and on our toes.
WE LOVE OUR MISSIONARIES ALREADY!

President and Sister Alba,
ReplyDeleteWe are excited to follow your service in the Santa Rosa mission. Our son Austin Gifford is currently serving in Fairfield and we enjoy getting his weekly emails as well as following the mission on the blogs that both you and the Bunker kept up. I know that he has been impressed with you already. Good luck and God bless you. You're in our prayers.
Sincerely,
Gray Gifford
President and Sister Alba,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on such a good start for your service! Your enthusiasm and energy are already taking effect in the mission!
Thank you for your dedicated service.
All our love and prayers to you and your wonderful missionaries,
Doug Anderson
How wonderful to read your blog and see all the service and progress being made on the other side of the continent! Miss you tons! D&C Schramm
ReplyDeletePresident and Sister Alba our son Bryson will join your mission in February and we are looking forward to his opportunity to serve with you.
ReplyDeleteBy way of interest my family grew up in Mexico where my father was a supervisor for the Church schools and was responsible for the school in Piedras Negras where he remembers the Alba family. We have over the years had a close association with the Tenney family in AZ. My good friend Harold Tenney was named after my grandfather Harold Pratt former president of the Mexican Mission. Harold's father and mother had both served under President Pratt and named their son after him. Wondering about the possibility of relationship their with Sister Alba.
Thank you for your service. Harold Haynie
Hello Albas!
ReplyDeleteI just checked Elder Justin Whitaker's mission website that his parents are keeping up for him with his weekly letters. He is from our ward here in Carrollton, GA (where my husband is Bishop). I clicked on the blog address to see more about his mission and viola! I find out that you are in charge of the mission there! What a small world. I knew you were a mission president, Pres. Alba, but didn't know where you were serving. Best wishes to you both as you serve there. Those missionaries will be mighty blessed as they serve with you. Much love to you and your family,
Kristy West Anderson
Hi President and Sister Alba!! My mom said you were in her Gospel essentials class today! in Healdsburg. I just wanted to say hi from Idaho! Hope all is well. I miss the santa rosa mission and all its spiritual Fire!!! You are all in my prayers!

My daughter (our youngest) will be joining your mission soon and we look forward to keeping up with this blog and her emails to see how things are progressing. She is the first in our family to serve a mission, so we are exceptionally proud of her choice and excited for her to be serving! Thank you in advance for all that you do and for your love of the gospel.
ReplyDeleteOur parents will be arriving today to be two of your "office angels".
ReplyDeleteThank you in advance for putting them to work, loving them, and welcoming them into your fold.
Our family feels so blessed to be joining the CA Santa Rosa Mission family!
With love,
The Seely-Abel Family

Greetings President and Sister Alba! I love the blog-- our son will be joining you there in Santa Rosa in about 6 weeks. He enters the MTC today in Provo, and is excited to be learning the Spanish language. Thanks for all your hard work! ---the Kimber Family
ReplyDeleteAlba Family,
ReplyDeleteIt's been 18 years since I had dinner at your home in Marietta as a missionary. I served from 1995-1997 under President Monte Stewart. Glad to see you are doing well. You are proof that the gospel can do wonderful things for a family.

Pres & Sis Alba,
ReplyDeleteI can't thank you enough for what wonderful, loving, caring mission president and mission mom you are! I can't wait to meet you someday. Kolton is a far better man because he served in you mission. I appreciate that you keep in touch with him. Thank you again! Love, Sis. Linda Mahoney
